Callaway Golf Company Promotes Ian Davis to Senior Vice President of Manufacturing.

Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) today announced the promotion of Ian Davis to the position of Senior Vice President of Manufacturing. Davis has been with the Company since March 2000, most recently as Vice President of Club and Ball Manufacturing. In his new position, Davis will report directly to Patrice Hutin, President and Chief Operating Officer.

Davis will oversee all manufacturing operations for Callaway Golf, including the Quality, Engineering and Facilities departments. Davis joined the Company as Director of Ball Manufacturing, and last November took responsibility for both club and ball manufacturing. Under his guidance, the club manufacturing area of Callaway Golf has had the lowest per unit cost in the history of the Company for the past nine months.

Prior to joining Callaway Golf, Davis was a business unit manager for Johnson & Johnson consumer products. One of his most notable projects was the elimination of the red tear string once used to open Band-Aid wrappers. He also is co-holder of the patent for the first flexible foam Band-Aids.
