Call to say they're safe; Plea to parents who kidnapped their toddlers.

Byline: By CARL BUTLER

PARENTS who kidnapped their two toddlers were yesterday being hunted by police.

Detectives want 28-year-old mum Paula Sears to contact the nearest police station and let them know the family is safe.

The two youngsters were under an interim care order taken by Flintshire council social services social services

But following a visit to their mum's home in Bagillt, the children went missing and have not been seen since 2.45pm on Monday. Police took the unusual step of naming the children, three-yearold Jacob Luke Sears and twoyear-old Shauna Anne-Marie Sears, and issued their photograph.

Det Insp Mark Pierce, who is leading the hunt to find the family, said: "Our sole objective is to ensure the safety and well-being of the children."

Police believe the children's dad, Kevin Jones Kevin Jones is the name of:

  • Kevin Jones (football player), running back for the Detroit Lions NFL team
, 32, is with Paula and the children.

"The children need to be seen to be safe and well by a police officer. This can be facilitated by another family member if necessary," said Det Insp Pierce. Paula lives in a house at River Bank, Bagillt, which is one of a number of council properties currently undergoing refurbishment re·fur·bish
