Call to combat plan for homes.

A PUBLIC meeting is being called to fight plans to build houses in a village's green space.

The county borough is divided into 57 electoral wards returning 70 councillors. plans for new homes in Mancot near Queensferry.

Flintshire County Council is currently undertaking a consultation on plans within the Council's Unitary Development Plan to allocate land for housing between Park Avenue and Ash Lane in Mancot.

Mr Sargeant has objected to the council on the grounds that the land is currently an important green space in what is otherwise a built up area of Deeside.

The public meeting is to take place at 6pm tonight in Mancot Village Hall.
