Call over dog litter.


DOG lovers are trying to trace a woman and two men whose rottweiler Rottweiler (rŏt`wīlər), breed of sturdy working dog developed from a Roman cattle dog introduced into S Germany more than 1,900 years ago. It stands from 21 3-4 to 27 in. (55.3–68.  gave birth in a Middlesbrough vet's surgery.

The owners, who were in the PDSA's Middlesbrough West Lane branch on Friday, June 19, pleaded with staff to take their dog into care.

Now dog lovers are keen to take on the bitch and litter litter /lit·ter/ (lit´er) stretcher.

Witness Jill Danson, of Grove Hill, said: "The woman said she couldn't handle another litter." The rottweiler had four pups, which the men and woman, who was pregnant, left with.

Gillian Minnican, who rescues rottweilers, has offered to help with re-homing.
