THE Road Haulage Association The Road Haulage Association (abbreviated as The RHA) provides dedicated campaigning, advice, information and business services specially tailored for the haulage industry, including audits, risk assessments and contracts of employment.  has written to the Department for Transport asking for an inquiry into the response by relevant authorities to keeping the UK's roads open during the recent snowy snow·y

RHA chief executive Roger King, says: "A clear motorway is one thing but the benefit is diluted if the roads elsewhere under local authority control are not treated properly.

"We want to know why this is the case and why so many authorities seem to have run perilously close to running out of rock salt." The RHA says it does not accept snowfall of the recent severity occurs only every 18-20 years.
