Call for pulp and paper posters papers. The Pulp and Paper Association of Canada (PAPTAC PAPTAC Pulp And Paper Technical Association of Canada ), Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has announced its 2003 International Mechanical Pulping Conference, will be held at Lewes Le Concorde Hotel in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, from June 2-5, 2003. In addition to PAPTAC, the conference is sponsored by TAPPI TAPPI Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry , SPCI (Sweden), PTF PTF - Program Temporary Fix  (Norway) and HI (Finland). The conference will focus on the manufacture and use of mechanical pulps with the theme, "Cost-efficient mechanical pulp in high-quality products: A Bright Future." Its topics include: the future of mechanical pulp; pulp fiber quality; furnish challenges; mill experiences; research results; lowering energy consumption; fractionation fractionation /frac·tion·a·tion/ (frak?shun-a´shun)
1. in radiology, division of the total dose of radiation into small doses administered at intervals.

 strategies; and brighter more permanent mechanical pulps. Papers are sought on all aspects of the process and these program topics. Abstracts may be submitted to Claudette Harland, Paprican, at charland@paprican.ca
