Items on the agenda include: comments from the President, Executive Director's Report on the State of the Association, Executive Board election results, award presentations, old business, and new business.

Resolutions will be reviewed by the Public Affairs Committee, and guidance will be offered to the sponsor on developing the final version, which is due no later than 24 hours prior to the Annual Business Meeting.

Resolutions give members the opportunity to express their views on official actions that they believe ACEI should take. Topics may be either policy resolutions, which address current issues or problems pertaining per·tain

 to the rights and welfare of children and educators, or courtesy actions, which express appreciation to an individual or organization. All resolutions must include a description or recommended process for implementation.

Resolutions may be introduced by the ACEI Executive Board, a committee, a State/Province Executive Board, a Branch Executive Board, or by at least five ACEI members. Resolutions adopted at the Annual Business Meeting are published in the ACEI Exchange and/or as a separate document, available from Headquarters.

ACEI members are also invited to submit recommendations in writing to the Executive Board. In order for a recommendation to be added to the agenda for the Spring Executive Board Meeting, it must be submitted to ACEI Headquarters by March 1, 2005. All recommendations should clearly state the nature of the item and possible ways to address the concern. It would also be helpful to include, with your submission, any background information that you might have about the concern. The officially approved Minutes of the Spring 2005 Executive Board Meeting will be available approximately 180 days after the meeting to current ACEI members on written request.
