Call for Orff-Schulwerk research poster sessions.


The American Orff-Schulwerk Association will sponsor a research poster session A poster session is the juried presentation of research information by representatives of several research teams at a congress or conference with an academic or professional focus. These are particularly prominent at scientific conferences such as medical congresses.  at its 2005 National Conference in Birmingham, Alabama Birmingham (pronounced [ˈbɝmɪŋˌhæm]) is the largest city in the U.S. state of Alabama and is the county seat of Jefferson County. , November 10-12.

Research reports on music learning through movement, speech, playing instruments, singing, improvisation improvisation

Creation of music in real time. Improvisation usually involves some preparation beforehand, particularly when there is more than one performer. Despite the central place of notated music in the Western tradition, improvisation has often played a role, from the

Posters of accepted research reports will be displayed. The author(s) of each accepted paper must be present at the conference poster session to discuss the research project with interested participants.

Submissions must be postmarked or e-mailed by June 30, 2005.
