Call for Nominees for the New England Business and Technology Association's 8th Annual New England Business and Technology Awards.BOSTON -- The New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt. Business and Technology Association (NEBATA NEBATA New England Business and Technology Association ) announces a call for nominees for this year's New England Business and Technology Awards. The annual New England Business and Technology Awards honor ten individuals who have successfully used or advanced information and internet technology over the past twelve months to improve their business, their customer's business, or their industry in general. "In its eighth year, The New England Business and Technology Awards has become an event in which leaders in the technology sector are honored for their contributions to their industry, as well as contributions to those with whom they work with and serve," said Thomas Hopcroft, President of NEBATA. "With these awards, NEBATA recognizes those who have met the challenges of an ever-changing technology landscape and made a difference, not only in the New England technology industry, but also with their customers, business and employees." Who is eligible? Any person who (1) is involved in the New Englands business and/or technology community, (2) has had a significant impact in the development, deployment and/or use of technology in business, academia or government, and (3) has not received the Award in 2003 or 2004, is eligible to be nominated.
