Call for Entries: RSA[R] Conference 2009 Innovation Sandbox.

New Program to Showcase Information Security's Most Promising Emerging Technologies and Products

SAN MATEO, Calif. -- RSA([R]) Conference (www.rsaconference.com), the world's leading information security conferences and expositions, today announced its inaugural Innovation Sandbox event, a half-day interactive program devoted to highlighting technological breakthroughs and solutions that are designed to help security practitioners tackle emerging security issues facing the industry. The Innovation Sandbox program will take place the first day of RSA Conference 2009, Monday, April 20, and will feature interactive whiteboard sessions focused on tomorrow's security challenges facilitated by renowned information security experts. The program will also include a "Most Innovative Company at RSA Conference 2009" contest, which is designed to showcase companies and individuals who are at the cutting-edge of security innovation. The Conference is now accepting video and text entries for the "Most Innovative Company" contest, and nominations can be submitted online until Friday, February 20, 2009, at: http://www.rsaconference.com/2009/US/Highlights_and_Events/Innovation_Sandbox.aspx.

Criteria to compete in the "Most Innovative Company at RSA Conference 2009" contest include:

* The product has been in market for less than one year (launched after March 2008);

* The product has the potential to make a significant impact on the information security space;

* The product can be demonstrated live and on site at Innovation Sandbox in 30 seconds;

* The company has a management team capable of delivering the product to the market; and

* The company must be privately held with less than $5M revenue in 2008.

Upon the close of the submission process on Friday, February 20, the top twenty submitted entries will then be shared with the public for an open voting period that will close on Friday, March 13. The top ten innovations coming from this community voting period will be announced on Monday, March 23, and invited to present their emerging technology before a panel of industry experts and thought leaders at Innovation Sandbox at RSA Conference on Monday, April 20, from 2:00-5:30 p.m.
