Call For Papers for ASTM symposium on Corrosion Monitoring.ASTM International ASTM International (ASTM) is an international standards developing organization that develops and publishes voluntary technical standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems, and services. , West Conshohocken, PA, has announced a Call For Papers for the Symposium on Advances in Electrochemical electrochemical /elec·tro·chem·i·cal/ (-kem´i-k'l) pertaining to interaction or interconversion of chemical and electrical energies. e·lec·tro·chem·i·cal adj. Techniques for Corrosion Monitoring and Measurement The Monitoring and Measurement (MOME) initiative is a coordinating action within the 6th framework of the European Commission. It is aiming at fostering knowledge on Internet monitoring tools and exchange of information about Internet data traces. , to be held May 22-23, 2007, in Norfolk, VA. The symposium, sponsored by ASTM ASTM abbr. American Society for Testing and Materials Committee G01 on Corrosion of Metals and its Subcommittee sub·com·mit·tee n. A subordinate committee composed of members appointed from a main committee. subcommittee Noun G01.11 on Electrochemical Techniques for Corrosion Monitoring, will be held in conjunction with the May 23-24 standards development meetings of Committee G01. The symposium will cover the use of electrochemical techniques for corrosion as applied to monitoring, measurements, new test methods, and life prediction/modeling. The objective is to provide a forum for discussing the latest advances in electrochemical techniques as they relate to the corrosion of metals. To have a presentation considered for the symposium, presenters/authors must complete an online Abstract Submittal Form and submit a 250-300 word preliminary abstract by August 4, 2006. Accepted paper presenters/authors will be notified by October 4, 2006. To submit an abstract, visit www.astm.org.
