WHO: Calix today announced it will showcase live demonstrations
of IPTV services delivered via the various Calix product
lines at the GLOBALCOMM 2006 conference. The company will
showcase information, communication, and entertainment
services over both copper and fiber access, while featuring
the newly expanded Calix product line at the Calix booth
(#34026). The Calix product family includes C-Series
multiservice access platforms; E-Series service edge nodes;
F-Series GPON access products; and the CMS service
management system.
WHAT: Calix will showcase demonstrations of technologies that
simplify network and service transformation for
information, communication and entertainment services. In
addition, products from all four of the Calix portfolio of
access solutions will also be on display.
There will be eight dedicated areas of focus in the booth:
-- Advanced Entertainment services, which will include
demonstrations of HDTV and interactive applications
delivered over DSL and PON
-- Advanced Communications services, which will showcase
demonstrations of video telephony, mobile video, and
VOIP services
-- Advanced Information services, which will include
demonstrations of HDTV on a PC, HD Xbox gaming, and
advanced home and service network management in
conjunction with Netopia
-- CalixCompatible products, which will showcase third
party ONTs and STBs from Siemens, Tellabs and
Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco company
-- FTTP services, featuring the F5 FTTP system and 700-
and 500-Series ONTs
-- FTTN services, highlighting the E5 service edge node
and VDSL2 modems
-- Multiservice products, which will include the C7
multiservice access platform and 700-Series ONTs and
VDSL2 modems
-- Management capabilities that will highlight CMS and
comprehensive management across the portfolio
