The California Integrated Waste Management Board's (CIWMB CIWMB California Integrated Waste Management Board ) Fifth California Scrap Tire Conference, featuring presentations on state scrap tire projects and issues affecting the scrap tire market, will be held Sept. 2-4 in Sacramento Sacramento, city, United States Sacramento (săkrəmĕn`tō), city (1990 pop. 369,365), state capital and seat of Sacramento co., central Calif. . "California, by far, has the most active state scrap tire program in the country," Michael Blumenthal, RMA senior technical director, says. "The program funds an array of scrap tire projects and investigates issues that have not been researched by any other state." Conference topics include: civil engineering uses for tire shreds; tire processing; U.S./Mexico border issues; re-treading; CIWMB grant programs; enforcement training for municipal employees and law enforcement agencies A law enforcement agency (LEA) is a term used to describe any agency which enforces the law.
