California and Baja California Officials Meet to Strengthen Infrastructure and Operational Improvements At Border Crossings.

 met today address infrastructure and operational improvements at the border crossings between the two states. Recognizing the critical role that local, federal and private sector representatives play in the border region, state officials plan to seek the participation of these representatives in a collaborative effort to make cross-border transportation faster and safer.

"The Governor has said there is no relationship more important to California than Mexico," said Maria Contreras-Sweet, Secretary of the California Business, Transportation and Housing Agency (BTH). "To that end, BTH is working to facilitate bi-national cooperation with our counterparts in Baja California on border infrastructure improvement, goods movement and security."
