California Water Service Co. board elects Linda Randall Meier director.

, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1994--Linda Randall Meier was elected Wednesday to the board of directors of California Water Service Co., effective Dec. 1, 1994.

She replaces L. W. "Bill" Lane, Jr., who retires Nov. 30 after serving as a director since 1989 and previously from 1967 to 1985.

Meier is on the board of directors, Stanford Health Services health services Managed care The benefits covered under a health contract  Hospital, where she has served as a director since 1978 and chair since 1992. She also serves as a director of Stanford University Stanford University, at Stanford, Calif.; coeducational; chartered 1885, opened 1891 as Leland Stanford Junior Univ. (still the legal name). Meier is also active in a number of local community activities.

Meier, a resident of Atherton, is married to Anthony Philip Meier. They have three children, Anthony Philip Meier, Jr.,; Eric Randall Meier and Laura Meier Fisher.

California Water Service Co. is the largest investor-owned water utility in California, providing potable potable /pot·a·ble/ (po´tah-b'l) fit to drink.
