California Water Leaders Converge on Nation's Capital; ACWA Washington D.C. Conference Expected to Draw More Than 100 California Water Officials.


WASHINGTON -- The Association of California Water Agencies kicks off its annual conference in Washington D.C. this week at the Washington Court Hotel. Attendees are scheduled to hear from a number of federal officials and members and discuss topics ranging from water storage to flood control.

The conference begins March 1 with a line-up of elected officials and other VIPs speaking, including: Lynn Scarlett P. Lynn Scarlett is the Deputy Secretary of the Interior.

Appointed by President George W. Bush, Scarlett was sworn in as Deputy Secretary of the Interior on November 22, 2005.
