Prior to his appointment at California Software, Hauck was with Rockwell International Rockwell International was the ultimate incarnation of a series of companies under the sphere of influence of Willard Rockwell, who had made his fortune after the invention and successful launch of a new bearing system for truck axles in 1919.  for more than 30 years. Hauck held various positions within the corporate accounting department at Rockwell with increasing areas of responsibility. Most recently, Hauck was manager of special projects for corporate accounting.

Hauck holds a bachelor's degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where he majored in finance.
