California Software Announces Successful LPAR Installation at TERI.

California Software Corp. (OTCBB:CAWC) Wednesday announced the installation of an IBM Logical Partitioned AS/400 (LPAR) computer at The Education Resources Institute (TERI) in Boston.

The new LPAR, which can operate as two separate computers, will serve TERI's processing requirements for the foreseeable future. One partition will perform its main production processing requirements while the second partition will provide a very effective isolated platform for testing new innovations and for software development.

TERI, a non-profit organization, is a well known and highly respected Student Loan Guarantor and Loan Originator serving schools and student lenders throughout the United States.

David J. Luciano, TERI's senior vice president for Information Services, heralded the installation as a "giant step forward for the company. We were suffering from lack of horsepower on our older AS/400, just as our volumes were increasing dramatically and we didn't really have an efficient way to test new enhancements without potentially disrupting our production operations."

Wes Lucas, president of California Software's ALE Systems Division noted: "TERI presented a difficult problem to solve because their loan volumes were very high in the late summer and early January corresponding with semester changes. TERI needed larger capacity during those periods and the LPAR, with its ability to shift processing power from partition to partition, presented the ideal solution.
