$50,000 Donated at "Giving Until It Feels Good" March 11 Event

AirTouch Cellular donated contributions totaling $50,000 to two Los Angeles-area organizations. The California Science Center The California Science Center (sometimes spelled California ScienCenter) is a state agency and museum located in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. Billed as the West Coast's largest hands-on science center, the California ScienCenter is a public-private partnership between the State  and D.A.R.E. America each received a $25,000 grant from AirTouch on Saturday, March 11, 2000, at the "Giving Until It Feels Good" event.

Sponsored by the Robert H. Lorsch Foundation Trust, the "Giving Until It Feels Good" is a community fund-raising event to raise up to $1 million. Participating charitable organizations included the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation was founded in 1988 by Elizabeth Glaser, Susan DeLaurentis, and Susie Zeegen. Glaser and her husband, actor Paul Michael Glaser, learned that Mrs. Glaser had been infected with HIV through a blood transfusion. , Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer prostate cancer, cancer originating in the prostate gland. Prostate cancer is the leading malignancy in men in the United States and is second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer death in men. , Muscular Dystrophy Association The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is an organization founded in 1950 which combats muscular dystrophy and diseases of the nervous system and muscular system in general by funding research, providing medical and community services, and educating health professionals  and Thalians Mental Health Center.
