The new vice president/president-elect is Jack Gironda of Chatsworth, Calif. Gironda has served on the board since 1997 as its secretary and as the Ethics Chair. He is the owner/president of Preferred Home Inspection, which services the Los Angeles/Ventura County. Also one of CREIA's CPI members, Gironda was honored with the CREIA President's Award in 1998. Making his second consecutive appearance as secretary is George Harper of CREIA's Orange County Chapter. George is the owner of California Inspection Agency in Long Beach. New to CREIA's executive board roster this year, in the position as treasurer, is Jim Turner of Turner & Associates in the state's Inland Empire area. Both officers gained leadership experience through serving at their local chapters and by holding state chair committee positions with CREIA. The elected executive officers also include three director-at-large positions representing the northern, central and southern areas of the state. Making his third consecutive appearance on the executive board is Jim Ronan of Sherlock Homes Real Estate Inspection Services in northern California. Representing the central chapters is John St. George, CPI, a leader in the LA/Ventura County Chapter and president of California Construction Consultants. The southern CREIA chapters are the responsibility of Dennis Parra II, of San Diego's Parra Building Consultants. The executive officers also include immediate past president Scott Clements, vice president of San Ramon-based Inspectech Corp. Clements is also a CPI and has served as CREIA's president for two terms.
