California Pools Makes a Splash at the 2006 Association of Pool and Spa Professionals Awards.

WEST COVINA West Covina, city (1990 pop. 96,086), Los Angeles co., S Calif., in the San Gabriel valley; settled 1905, inc. 1923. Before World War II, West Covina was a small rural community where walnuts, wheat, and livestock were raised. , Calif. -- California Pools, one of California's oldest and most reputable full-service pool building and design companies, swept the recent Association of Pool and Spa Professionals' 2006 International Awards of Excellence, taking home a total of 12 awards. These victories propelled the industry leader to a position of holding more APSP awards than any other company in the history of the awards.

The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP) is the world's largest international trade association representing the swimming pool, spa, hot tub and recreational water industries. The APSP International Awards of Excellence is the only international awards program recognizing superior achievement in the design, building, and installation of residential and commercial pools, spas, hot tubs and water features.

The California Pools projects warranting this prestigious industry distinction were judged by the APSP's esteemed panel of international industry professionals. Judging was based on the aesthetic features of the installation, including landscaping and other amenities that enhance the harmony created.
