California Pizza Kitchen Opens in North San Diego County.

Opening to Benefit Boys & Girls Club of Vista

LOS ANGELES -- California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (Nasdaq:CPKI), home of the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas, made-to-order pastas, creative salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches and desserts, opened its newest location in Vista, CA today.

The 5,900 square-foot restaurant is located at 307 Vista Village Drive, at the intersection of West Vista Way and Vista Village Drive, just north of Highway 78. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Guests can dine-in or place a take-out or curbside order by calling 760-631-5601. CPK's curbside service allows you to call in an order, pull into a designated spot in the parking lot and have your order delivered right to your car by a CPK Curbside Server.

The menu will feature all of the popular favorites, including the Thai Chicken Pizza, Jamaican Jerk Pizza, BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad and Shanghai Garlic Noodles, as well as five new menu items: Chicken Piccata, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Milanese, Mango Tandoori Chicken Pizza and a Steakhouse Chopped Salad.

A full bar offers an extensive beverage menu with a great selection of wines along with more than 40 specialty drinks, including CPK's original California Cosmo, and an extensive list of martinis, margaritas and eight new cocktails, including Pomegranate Margaritas; Pomegranate Martinis; CPK's Sun Splash, a tasty concoction made with Ketel One Citroen Vodka, Hiram Walker Pomegranate Schnapps, fresh lemonade and a splash of club soda; Appleberry Sangria, Passion Fruit Mojitos, Raspberry Margaritas, Top Shelf Margatinis and Classic Martinis.

Following CPK's tradition of giving back to the communities in which it operates, the new CPK restaurant will donate 100 percent of all dine-in pizza sales during regular business hours on Mon., Nov. 20, 2006 to the Boys and Girls Club of Vista. Their mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. From simple games to organized sports to homework help, the Boys and Girls Club of Vista offers a variety of options in a safe environment as well as character-building programs for both boys and girls. Proceeds from the Charity Day will underwrite the Club's scholarship program.

The new Vista, California location is the sixth CPK restaurant in San Diego County. Other locations include Fashion Valley, Carmel Mountain Ranch, La Jolla, Solana Beach and the San Diego International Airport. A seventh location will open in the Otay Ranch Town Center on Tues., Nov. 28, 2006.
