California Pizza Kitchen Opening in Triangle Town Center; Habitat for Humanity to Benefit From Pizza Sales.

In celebration of its new full-service restaurant opening August 15 in Triangle Town Center in Raleigh, NC, California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (Nasdaq:CPKI) will donate 100% of pizza sales to Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.

"Habitat for Humanity is very grateful to CPK and the entire community for its support," said Joyce Watkins King, director of marketing and development. "Our Wake County Habitat affiliate has a goal of building 40 homes by the end of the year for families in need of safe, decent and affordable shelter," said King.

The funds CPK will donate through pizza sales on Monday, August 19 will provide partial sponsorship of a home in the Biltmore Trace community in southeast Raleigh. Triangle Town Center is devoting its mall opening to raising funds for the home, and CPK plans to donate one room of the new house from the pizza sales.

"We look forward to opening our second CPK in North Carolina and to once again partner with Habitat for Humanity. We are proud to support an organization that has helped so many families to achieve home ownership," said Fred Hipp, CPK president and CEO.

The restaurant is 5,012 square feet with dining room seating capacity of 158 and patio dining for 24. It is located at the main entrance of the Center across from Barnes & Noble. The general manager will be David Hamilton, currently GM for CPK at the Streets at Southpoint in Durham.

The interior of the new restaurant has a dropped ceiling with wood beams, modern hanging counter lights, blond wood tables, and natural beige stone accents on the hearth-ovens, all signatures of California Pizza Kitchen decor.
