California Pizza Kitchen Debuts New Restaurant in Farmington Hills on Tuesday, July 26, 2005; New Location Introduces Prototype Restaurant, New Menu Items.

LOS ANGELES -- California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (Nasdaq:CPKI), home to the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas, made-to-order pastas, creative salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches and desserts, opened its newest location in Hunter's Square in Farmington Hills today.

The new CPK, located at 14 Mile at Orchard Lake Road, will introduce the new CPK prototype to the state of Michigan, featuring warm colors, rich textures, soft lighting, elements of stone and granite, and an extended bar area complete with large flat screen televisions. The hours of operation will be Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m to 11:00 p.m. Guests can dine-in, take-out or use CPK's Curbside Service and have the restaurant's curbside server deliver their order right to their car.

The menu will feature items newly introduced to the restaurant, including the Hawaiian Poke Martini, a large martini glass filled with ahi sashimi, grilled shrimp and avocado lightly tossed in a Hawaiian-style marinade; the Thai Crunch Salad, made with shredded Napa cabbage, chilled grilled chicken breast, julienne cucumbers, edamame, crispy wontons, peanuts, cilantro, julienne carrots, red cabbage and scallions tossed with a lime-cilantro dressing, topped with crispy rice sticks and Thai peanut dressing; and the spicy Chipotle Chicken Pizza, with grilled chipotle chicken, fire-roasted mild chilies, chipotle sauce, Mozzarella and Enchilado cheeses and topped with roasted corn, black bean salsa, cilantro and a light lime cream sauce.

The new restaurant will also feature all of the CPK favorites, including the Jamaican Jerk Pizza, BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad and Kung Pao Spaghetti. A full bar offers an extensive beverage menu with a great selection of wines along with more than 40 specialty drinks, including CPK's original California Cosmo, and an extensive list of martinis, margaritas and cocktails.

Following a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities in which it operates, California Pizza Kitchen will donate 100% of pizza sales on Tuesday, August 2 to the St. Vincent Sarah Fisher Center. The organization, based in Farmington Hills, provides adoptive and foster care services, as well as counseling and educational programs for young parents and families in crisis.
