 Association's 2002 Annual Meeting is an event-filled weekend geared toward interactive and informative programming to create a fresh image for the future of pharmacy pharmacy, art of compounding and dispensing drugs and medication. discussion entitled, "Real Heroes," where pharmacists share their personal
experiences of volunteering in emergency situations including the 1991 Oakland
Hills Firestorm, the 1994 Northridge Earthquake and the Terrorist Attacks of
September 11, 2001.

-- Friday, Feb. 8 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. -- House of Delegates Reference
Committee Sessions will include four "hot" policy topics: NAPLEX, Reciprocity,
Tech-Check-Tech, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs)

-- Saturday, Feb. 9 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. -- Gaining Focus on Quality
Assurance. Panel of experts include representatives from the California State
Board of Pharmacy, Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program and CPhA.

-- Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. -- John Rector, senior vice
president of Government Affairs and general counsel for the National Community
Pharmacists Association will be a keynote speaker at the California
Pharmacists-Political Action Committee meeting

-- Sunday, Feb. 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. -- House of Delegates Final
Session
