) announced today that Sargent & Lundy, a Chicago-based prime contractor for the construction of power plants in China, has selected California Microwave to supply microwave interconnection for a communications network The transmission channels interconnecting all client and server stations as well as all supporting hardware and software.  at the Dandong Power Plant which Sargent & Lundy is designing in China's Liaoning Province. The California Microwave contract is valued at more than $1 million.

California Microwave has been actively developing business in China, where the company's extensive product portfolio for wireless communications is particularly well suited to China's emerging communications infrastructure requirements.

This contract is one of several recent satellite communications and microwave radio contracts awarded to California Microwave for the development of telecommunications in China.
