California Microwave acquisition of Microwave Networks; Registration statement declared effective.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1995--CALIFORNIA MICROWAVE, INC. (Nasdaq National Market: CMIC) announced that the SEC has declared effective, on May 3, 1995, the registration of 3,475,000 shares of the company's common stock in conjunction with the pending acquisition of Microwave Networks Incorporated, the privately held, Houston-based manufacturer of microwave radios. Shareholder meetings at both companies' headquarters have been scheduled for May 30, 1995. Subject to obtaining shareholder approval, the transaction is expected to close immediately following the shareholder meetings.

California Microwave is the leading US supplier of telecommunications satellite earth stations and microwave radios used in wireless communications.
