Rural Expansion As the island's only telephone carrier, TOJ is aggressively expanding its transmission network coverage to rural areas and upgrading capacity to remote villages. TOJ is mid-way through an expansion program intended to increase the number of main lines in service to 500,000 by the year 2000.
