Montgomery currently serves as the division's executive vice president of product development. His international operation, to be called Microwave Networks International will serve markets outside North America, focusing on mobile communications service providers in industrializing countries, Epley said.

Gordon has more than 24 years of experience in the microwave transmission industry. Before becoming MNS executive vice president of sales, he served Microwave Networks Inc. (MNI See Merom New Instructions. ), one of the companies acquired by California Microwave to form the MNS division, as vice president of business development, vice president of marketing, vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and vice president of domestic sales. He previously had been vice president and general manager of San/Bar Corp. and filled various sales and management roles at Harris Farinon.

Montgomery was a co-founder of MNI and most recently served as MNS' vice president of product development. He served MNI as vice president of engineering, vice president of international business development and vice president of sales, Asia Pacific. His 20 years of engineering management and design engineering experience include positions with Texas Industries, Gardiner Communications and BE Industries.

The promotions are part of a previously announced reorganization aimed at better serving customers and becoming more competitive in the marketplace. The improvements include establishment of the two new operations of the Houston-based division. The changes will be put into effect over the coming months. The new division will be known as the Microwave Networks division of California Microwave.

As a result of the reorganization, the division's Houston headquarters should see a net increase in jobs as operations are consolidated there and in Chelmsford, Mass. Small facilities in Fremont, Calif., and Glendale Heights, Ill., will be closed.
