 for Its Passive Chip Products

In a recent effort to expand its market presence for passive chip products (see press release dated September 23, 1998), California Micro Devices has strengthened its distribution relationship with Semi Dice Inc. (Semi Dice) to include technical and marketing support.

Building upon the 20+ years of distribution service provided by Semi Dice to date, California Micro Devices has added a provision to their relationship that provides technical marketing resources to Semi Dice. A benefit uncommon between most principals and their distributors, these resources will include technical and marketing personnel available for on-site technical training, joint customer development, and field sales assistance, along with tools provided by California Micro Devices to accelerate the development and design-in process for its passive chip products.

"Semi Dice has invested 23 years in developing a strong relationship with its customers for passive chip products. These customers depend on our knowledge and experience to supply products that meet and beat their time, cost, and performance demands. Technical marketing resources provided by California Micro Devices adds further value to this existing relationship and will serve to develop more opportunities in the high performance systems market," said Mitch Myers, President and Chief Operations Officer for Semi Dice.

"Our strengthened relationship with Semi Dice is key as California Micro Devices expands its efforts to market passive chip products and gain further market share. This joint effort serves to forge additional penetration into the high performance systems market and is definitely a winning arrangement for both Semi Dice and California Micro Devices," said Frank Ellis Frank Ellis can refer to:

California Micro Devices has supplied passive chip products to the military market since 1980. In 1991, the Company began selling these products within the commercial marketplace. Currently recognized as the leading manufacturer of high performance IPDs (Integrated Passive Devices), California Micro Devices manufactures and markets its line of passive chip products through Semi Dice. These products include a complete line of resistor resistor, two-terminal electric circuit component that offers opposition to an electric current. Resistors are normally designed and operated so that, with varying levels of current, variations of their resistance values are negligible (see resistance).  networks, chip capacitors, and spiral inductor inductor, electric device consisting of one or more turns of wire and typically having two terminals. An inductor is usually connected into a circuit in order to raise the inductance to a desired value.  chips for high performance systems such as cellular phones, video amplifiers Video amplifier
