California Micro Devices Corporation (Nasdaq:CAMD) today announced that it has engaged IP Marketing expert Spinnaker Systems to promote the EZTerm(TM) active termination patent of CAMD in Japan.

When high-speed signals travel the wires (lines) in a system, the signals can become badly distorted if the lines are not properly terminated. This then creates ringing (noise) and radio frequency interference, leading to system errors and malfunctions. EZTerm(TM) is an active termination technique that addresses this problem. The new technology from California Micro Devices provides a circuit design that can be incorporated directly into the inputs or input/outputs of integrated circuits, regardless of the operating voltage, technology level, or scaling employed.
