SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The California Hotel & Lodging Lodging or holiday accommodation is a type of accommodation. The study of an individual organism or a single species is termed autecology; the study of groups of organisms is called synecology.  Action and Intergy in a new $3.9 million initiative to deliver energy efficiency savings to its members in the Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) service area. Specifically, PG&E has proposed to the California Public Utilities Commission The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC; also often commonly referred to as simply the PUC) [1] is a state Public Utilities Commission which regulates privately-owned utilities in the state of California, including electric power,  that Ecology Action be funded to operate the LodgingSavers Energy Efficiency Program in an effort to improve energy efficiency and reduce hotel energy costs.

The LodgingSavers Program is intended to fund a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from lighting retrofits to energy management system "tune-ups," for qualifying CH&LA lodging properties in a comprehensive approach designed to address guest rooms, common areas and external spaces. Working in collaboration with Ecology Action, Intergy would directly address those hotel properties with energy demand greater than 200 kW, while Ecology Action would be directly responsible for all other qualifying CH&LA member properties.

The LodgingSavers Program has been designed to achieve energy savings in the range of 5% to 20% with no reduction, and possible increases, in comfort level for their guests.

"We're pleased Pacific Gas & Electric has recommended this particular program, which is the third significant CH&LA energy-related initiative in recent years," stated James O.
