California Health Care Offers Great Career Opportunities.MakeItInScrubs.com Provides Information on Hundreds of Careers for Young Adults SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- California's expanding diverse population is driving a huge demand for health care workers. To address the issue, The California Wellness Foundation's "Make It In Scrubs" public education campaign is encouraging young adults to explore and consider careers in health professions via the MakeItInScrubs.com Web site. The State already has shortages in nearly all categories of the health care workforce including close to 200 allied health professions - from entry-level assistants to speech-language pathologists. Additionally, 51 of California's 58 counties currently are experiencing shortages of health care workers. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley.
