California Gold Moves Closer to Merger With Dairy Farmers of America; Merger Recommendation Goes to the Membership for a Vote.PETALUMA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 1998--The California Gold California Gold were an American soccer team, founded in 1998. A series of meetings will be held throughout the geographic area during the week of November 16 to respond to member questions and concerns. Completed ballots are due to California Gold on December 2. DFA is the country's largest dairy cooperative with more than 24,000 members representing some 18,000 dairies in 43 states throughout the United States. DFA's dairy members market and process more than 34 billion pounds of milk annually, supplying fluid and manufacturing customers (and its own plants) with raw milk, dairy products and food components.
