The Under-10 team had a fantastic day leading to success in every game, and a very deserved win.

The Under-14 squad also had a great tournament.

Their first game was against the talented Spraire Lasses, who took them by surprise with an early goal before Cali had settled.

However, they fought valiantly and equalised towards the end of the game.

They then beat Broadsworth by one goal.

The final game against Bradford Clarets finished 2-0 and took them to the semis.

The semis were against Spraire Lasses, and went to penalties before the California girls progressed to the final against Broadsworth.

A 1-0 score secured the title for California.

And the girls' Under-14 and Under-15 team are also on winning form.

Both teams travelled to Tingley and returned as champs.

The first Under-14 match was against Normanton Athletic. Cali Girls won 2-0.

The next two games against Seacroft and Tingley Greens, ended in scoreless draws.

Against Tingley Whites, Melissa Clarke scored for Cali, the team then beat Hemsworth Minors 3-0 before losing to Hemsworth B, 0-1.

In the semi-final Cali scored two goals to reach the final.

The final was played in a way never experienced by the girls before.

After 10 minutes play there was no score, so a golden goal and gradual withdrawal of one player every two minutes, up to 10 minutes play, was implemented.

Cali came second in the group on goal difference and played Helmsford in the quarter finals, beating them 2-1, going onto the semis against Glasshoughton with a 4-1 win.

They then took a 1-0 win over North Yorkshire Belles.

But despite these recent successes the team is still short of players.

The football club looking is hoping to sign new players for all of its teams for the new season.
