The court administrator will manage the workers' compensation court system and improve it by: --Overseeing workers' compensation judges and district offices, with emphasis on quality and adherence to deadlines --Making recommendations to the administrative director on the appointment of judges and adoption of judicial ethics regulations --Furthering uniformity and expediency by adopting reasonable, proper and uniform rules for district office procedures --Establishing a priority calendar for cases --Reporting to the Legislature and the governor concerning the frequency and type of issues not heard and decided within time mandates --Charging and collecting fees for copies of appropriate papers and records, and for the filing of appropriate lien claims. "The division has 24 local offices and nearly 200 judges across the state," said Hoch. "The court administrator's first priority will be tackling court system policy and procedure on a statewide basis so that when people come into a courtroom they know what to expect."
