California Department of Justice Orders More Than 90 NEC LS 21 systems; Department of Corrections Orders 12 Systems; Orders Valued in Excess of $4.1 Million.


SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 16, 1998--Identix Inc. (ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) A relational DBMS from Sybase that runs on Windows NT/2000, Linux and a variety of Unix platforms. ASE is a comprehensive and robust data management product with a long history dating back to the late 1980s. :IDX (IDX Systems Corporation, South Burlington, VT, www.idx.com) One of the largest health care information systems companies in the country, acquired in 2006 by GE Healthcare (www.gehealthcare.com), a unit of the General Electric Company. ), a leading provider worldwide of live-scan and biometric verification systems, Thursday announced that the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information (BCII BCII Battle Command and Intelligence Integration ) of the California Attorney General's Office has ordered more than 90 live-scan workstations.

The BCII order is valued in excess of $3.5 million. The company also announced that the California Department of Corrections (CDC See Control Data, century date change and Back Orifice.

) with Identix Live-Scan technology. The systems will be used to transmit fingerprint cards for criminal identification and employee background checks from local agencies to the Department of Justice.

The BCII units, which were shipped in the quarters ended March 31, 1998 and June 30, 1998, are being placed at law enforcement agencies A law enforcement agency (LEA) is a term used to describe any agency which enforces the law.
