The Academy's culinary education center concept is a groundbreaking venture for both the culinary education and retail environments. Born out of the Academy's strategic alliance with Broadway Stores, Inc., the center will provide professional quality culinary education for aspiring professionals and cooking enthusiasts. The center will also offer food services food services Hospital services A 24/7 department in a hospital that provides for the nutritional needs of inpatients–eg, those needing special diets, preparing meals and transporting them to the floor and, through the cafeteria, the hospital staff and  and a line of top-quality California Culinary Academy-branded products.

The California Culinary Academy will also be opening a similar center within The Broadway in Costa Mesa, Calif. That center, announced late last year, is slated for a fall 1995 opening.

California Culinary Academy, Inc., based in San Francisco, is one of the largest for-profit culinary schools in the United States.
