CB&T intends to provide its new online banking service to over 2,000 of its commercial customers. This service will include a variety of cash management functions such as fund transfers, deposit reporting, stop payments, bank drafts, foreign exchange and money market rate reporting, balance reporting and book transfers.

Zions Bancorporation acquired Sumitomo Bank of California in October of 1998, and merged it with Grossmont Bank and First Pacific Bank, two other Zions Subsidiaries. A new entity was created through this merger, California Bank and Trust, with 70 offices throughout California. CB&T has begun implementing the Intelispan network to service all their business banking customers.

The foundation of a PKI is the certificate authority (CA), which issues digital certificates that authenticate the identity of  authentication, acts as a network level firewall to become the enterprise's first line of defense against unauthorized users.
