SAN FRANCISCO--(BW HealthWire)--March 10, 1997--California Advantage announced today that is has selected John Ramey John Ramey (b. 23 May 1978) is an American-born singer, songwriter, and journalist living in Los Angeles. He is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. Ramey is known to cite obscure anecdotes regarding Stanford and San Jose State sports as his father, Hal Ramey, broadcasted their , creator of the successful Health Insurance Plan of California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W). , as its Acting Chief Executive Officer.

He has received the National Governors' Association Award for Distinguished Service to State Government, and recently co-authored an article on risk adjustment and market competition published in Health Affairs: Spring 1996.
