Calient Networks Adds Key Team Leaders to Support Volume Shipments.

Calient Networks, a leading provider of intelligent, photonic switching systems, announces it has recently added to its leadership team in three key functional areas, to support the company's readiness for volume shipments and market expansion.

William Zerella was appointed to the positions of vice president of finance and administration as well as chief financial officer in November 2001. In January 2002, David Arnold was appointed to the new position of senior vice president of engineering and operations for Calient's San Jose division. He recently served as vice president of systems engineering and operations for Network Photonics. Previous to that Mr. Arnold was executive vice president of engineering for Advanced Fibre Corporation, where he guided successful delivery of AFC's xDSL, GR-303, TR-08, ATM and IP Telephony products, and supported revenue growth from $17 million to $350 million.
