Alan Naumann, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, has been named, by Calico's Board of Directors to the additional role of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Les Wright will be joining the Company as Interim Chief Financial Officer, as Arthur F. Calico is focusing its efforts on the analytic applications Analytic Applications are a type of business application software, used to measure and improve the performance of business operations. More specifically, Analytic Applications are a type of Business Intelligence solution.  that make up its Interactive Selling Software offering. These applications, which include configuration, recommendation and pricing, enable Calico customers to provide end-users with the tools to analyze their needs and explore all available products, prices and options that match those needs without requiring users to have expert knowledge of the products and services selected. Calico's increased focus on Interactive Selling will benefit customers through increased sales productivity and reduced cost of inaccurate orders, resulting in higher revenue, higher profitability and lower cost of sales.

Les Wright joins the Calico executive team as interim CFO, bringing over 25 years of public and private software company financial and operational experience to the Company. Wright's experience includes 15 years in senior executive positions, with most of that experience as Chief Financial Officer of public companies -- the ASK Group, Fractal Design and Infoseek. Wright also has experience in Chief Operating and Executive roles and is a Certified Public Accountant Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

In addition to the appointment of Alan Naumann and Les Wright, Calico announced that two veteran executives, Melissa Baten Caswell and Ed Silky, have been promoted to more senior roles.

Melissa Baten Caswell takes on the expanded role of Vice President of Marketing as the Company focuses its marketing activities on its interactive selling software. Baten Caswell, who joined Calico in 1998, has served as Vice President of Product Marketing and has been responsible for driving product strategy. She is replacing Matt DiMaria, Calico's former Vice President of Marketing, who left the Company in early March. Prior to Calico, Baten Caswell was a Director of Marketing at Cadence Design Systems (company) Cadence Design Systems - A company that sells electronic design automation software and services.
