CARROLLTON, Texas -- Calibre Press Inc. today announced Pulitzer-nominated author and internationally recognized law enforcement expert Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, U.S. Army (Ret.), as the featured guest speaker at several of Calibre's 25th Anniversary Street Survival(R) Seminars this year. Lt. Col. Grossman will present at noted Street Survival Seminars "The Bulletproof Mind: Psychological Preparation for Combat."

Grossman is one of the world's foremost experts on the psychology of conflict and has conducted nearly 500 law enforcement training sessions over the last five years. He has written several books vital to today's law enforcement officer, including On Combat and the Pulitzer-nominated On Killing, which is required reading in courses at military academies, police academies, and colleges worldwide.

Grossman is a West Point psychology professor, Professor of Military Science and Army Ranger with more than 23 years experience in leading U.S. soldiers worldwide. He retired from the Army in February 1998 and has devoted himself fulltime to teaching, writing, speaking, and research. Grossman has served as an expert witness and consultant in state and Federal courts, has testified before U.S. Senate and Congressional committees and numerous state legislatures, and he and his research have been cited in a national address by the President of the United States.
