Calian Awarded National Defence Contracts Worth $6.4 Million.

The first contract is a standing offer for one year with two option years bringing the total possible value of the contract to $1.4 Million. The contract is to provide specialists in the Information Management field to support the software development centre for One Canadian Air Division (I CAD) located in Aerospace & Telecommunications Engineering Support Squadron (ATESS ATESS Aerospace Telecommunications Engineering Support Squadron (Canada)

 to develop and support the operational software for the Canadian Airforce. Calian now provides software support and management for the Operational (ATESS) and Maintenance (AMMIS/ADAM) software for the Canadian Airforce.

The second contract worth approximately $5 Million with all option years exercised is the fourth consecutive contract that Calian has won, since June of 1988, to provide program management and technical services in support of the fully privatized Canadian Forces CF-18 Liaison Office. The office is located in close proximity to the Naval Air Systems Command The Naval Air Systems Command, or NAVAIR, is the part of the United States Navy which provides materiel support for naval aircraft and airborne weapon systems, such as guided missiles. NAVAIR was established in 1966 as the successor to the Navy's Bureau of Naval Weapons (BuWeps).  in Arlington, VA. Calian provides a turnkey liaison office consisting of the facilities, materials and technical services required to interact daily with the US Navy, other international customers, and industry. Calian's responsibilities encompass a broad range of services including policy review and analysis; technical investigations including engineering, operational and logistics activities; and administrative staff functions.
