SED's involvement consists of supporting the operation, development, maintenance, management and ongoing evolution of satellite control and support systems provided by the CSA through the provision of a dedicated team of qualified personnel. This contract is a continuation of work SED has performed for CSA since 1994 and involves services that support CSA's current satellites Radarsat-1 and SciSat-1. This renewal contract is expected to provide Calian with revenues similar to current levels. The contract also includes work to be performed by the Business and Technology Services Division that was previously performed under a separate contract with CSA. In addition, Calian's Business and Technology Services Division was awarded a renewal contract for the operations and maintenance of satellite receiving systems at the Prince Albert Satellite Station. That contract is for a nine-month period with two additional one-year options, bringing the total potential contract value to approximately $3.5 million.
