Calgary Health Region Selects Eclipsys IT Solution; Major Canadian Healthcare Provider to Deploy SunriseXA to Integrate Care Delivery.

Eclipsys Corporation(R), The Outcomes Company(R), (Nasdaq:ECLP), today announced that Calgary Health Region, Alberta, Canada, has selected its SunriseXA(TM) advanced clinical solution and workflow modules. Calgary Health Region will implement SunriseXA in its three urban adult hospitals and the new Alberta Children's Hospital. The system is an important building block for the complete electronic health record being developed across the province of Alberta.

Dr. Eagle said that the patient care information system will provide timely access to information critical for clinical decision making, help to reduce the potential for medical errors, and speed up the flow of information that can be critical to saving lives. Having access to a complete and consistent patient record is especially important as the Calgary Health Region works proactively to protect the privacy of patient information and increase productivity while alleviating pressure from Calgary's busy emergency departments and inpatient services.

The agreement also builds on a strong relationship between the Region and Eclipsys. A long-time Eclipsys customer, Calgary Health Region has utilized the Eclipsys 7000 series since 1989 to improve workflow and communication among physicians, nurses and other clinicians.
