Join French Camp Academy for a day of storytelling, sorghum-making, dulcimer dulcimer (dŭl`sĭmər), stringed musical instrument. The Festival of the Arts, or simply Festival is a three day arts festival in Grand Rapids held on the first Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of June.

Great Delta Bear Affair: How Teddy and his Bear Changed America

Join in the centennial celebration of President Theodore Roosevelt's famous 1902 bear hunt in Sharkey County that inspired the creation of the teddy bear. Activities include a kiosk dedication, bear hunt re-enactment, arts and crafts, live music, seminars and exhibits, a Teddy Bear Parade, and more. For details, call 662/873-6258.

2002 Mississippi Symphony Ball

Sunday at the Triangle

First Presbyterian Day School's Holiday Potpourri: A Taste of Tradition

This popular fundraiser includes a tour of homes, auction, bake sale, and tasting tea. This year's homes will be 1739 St. Ann Street, home of Dr. and Mrs. Bryan Barksdale; and 3520 Hawthorn Drive, home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Paris. The featured artist will be Grace Buchanan. 25th Annual Pioneer and Indian Festival

The Mississippi Grafts Center on the Natchez Trace Parkway Natchez Trace Parkway: see National Parks and Monuments (table).  will give visitors a chance to see the Old Natchez Trace as it was in the 17th and 18th centuries.
