Run Thru History

The 23rd Annual Run Thru History at the Vicksburg National Military Park Vicksburg National Military Park preserves the site of the American Civil War Battle of Vicksburg, waged from May 18 to July 4, 1863. The park, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Delta, Louisiana, also commemorates the greater Vicksburg Campaign, which preceded the battle.  will begin at 8:30 am. Participants can be part of a 10-K Run, a 5-K walk or even a 1 mile "fun run" for children. There is an $18 pre-registration fee. Vicksburg Spring Pilgrimage

The Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau sponsors the 28th Annual event where thirteen historic homes and two churches will be open with guided tours during appointed hours. Pilgrimage coincides with early spring so that touring visitors see the vibrant color as dogwoods, redbuds, and azaleas bloom. Hours are 9:30 - 12:30 and 1:30 - 4:30 and the cost is $15 per 3 house tour. The Washington County Convention Center Washington County Convention Center is a 3,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Greenville, Mississippi. The 9th Annual Herb & Garden Fest

Activities at this award-winning, two day event will feature the growth and use of the Daylily, Ocean Springs' city flower, and Echinacea echinacea (ĕk'ənā`shēə), popular herbal remedy, or botanical, believed to benefit the immune system. It is used especially to alleviate common colds and the flu, but several controlled studies using it as a cold medicine have , the national herb for 2002. 64th Annual Holly Springs Pilgrimage

The Holly Springs Garden Club sponsors the tour of seven historic homes and three antebellum churches. On Friday, the Kirkwood National Golf Club's 6th Annual Holly Springs Pilgrimage Golf Tournament will be held, as well as a candlelight cemetery tour. Saturday, the Pilgrimage Queens and escorts will host an elegant evening of dining and dancing on the lawn of Montrose. Friday and Saturday tour times are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for morning homes and 1-5 p.m. for afternoon homes.
