MARCH 2 Vicksburg Run Thru History The 23rd Annual Run Thru History at the Vicksburg National Military Park Vicksburg National Military Park preserves the site of the American Civil War Battle of Vicksburg, waged from May 18 to July 4, 1863. The park, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Delta, Louisiana, also commemorates the greater Vicksburg Campaign, which preceded the battle. will begin at 8:30 am. Participants can be part of a 10-K Run, a 5-K walk or even a 1 mile "fun run" for children. There is an $18 pre-registration fee. 64th Annual Holly Springs Pilgrimage The Holly Springs Garden Club sponsors the tour of seven historic homes and three antebellum churches. On Friday, the Kirkwood National Golf Club's 6th Annual Holly Springs Pilgrimage Golf Tournament will be held, as well as a candlelight cemetery tour. Saturday, the Pilgrimage Queens and escorts will host an elegant evening of dining and dancing on the lawn of Montrose.
