CalciTech Leuna Update.

Magdeburg, Germany -- CalciTech Ltd. (Plus Markets:CLK) (OTCBB:CLKTF) today provides an update on the process towards completion of its project finance for the building of its planned 100,000 tpa SCC plant in Leuna, Germany.

Progress over the summer months has been limited due to leave of many of the parties CalciTech deals with concerning the project finance. However, the Company is pleased to announce that further to its press release of May 17, the Company has now received all the permitting documentation for the planned plant.

CalciTech would like to comment on two further issues it has been confronted with in recent weeks. Firstly, the Company has been informed that the state guarantee scheme as directed from Brussels, is likely to undergo a change. It is expected that the changes will become clear towards the end of September and the Company will then announce the impact this will have on its own application for the state guarantee (currently over 80% of the non-grant portion of its project finance).

Secondly, the recent sub-prime related developments have impacted the German credit market, the result unsurprisingly being increased due diligence process from banks, including CalciTech's mandated lead arranger. Although the Company does not expect this to have an effect on its ability to complete the project finance, CalciTech is cognisant of the fact that increased demands may require extra time towards completion. In order to benefit from the 2007 grant CalciTech has applied for, the Company is still working towards completion within the next few months.

That said, we will now adopt a much more aggressive strategy towards completion this year, and may consider a funding structure without the aforementioned state guarantee, though still with the grant. In the meantime we await news from Brussels, and announcements will be made as soon as the situation is clear."
