CalPERS Names New Senior Investment Officer for Public Markets.SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 1996--The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) announced today it has named Bob L. Boldt as its new Senior Investment Officer for public market investments. Boldt will be responsible for implementing and managing strategy and policy for the System's publicly traded fixed income and equity investments worldwide. He will oversee and direct the System's internal staff as well as external advisors and consultants responsible for managing the System's domestic and international equity and fixed income assets. CalPERS total investments in global fixed income and equity are valued at approximately $94 billion and represent 90% of the System's total Fund, currently valued at more than $104 billion.
